A SPLOST, or Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, is a 1% sales tax enacted over a 6 year period of time. Local government may use SPLOST funds for specific capital projects.
The 2017 SPLOST collection period ends on June 30, 2023. A new SPLOST was approved by Fayette's voters on March 21, 2023. The collection period for the 2023 SPLOST will begin on July 1, 2023.
