The USPS has provided the Town with virtually no direct updates on the status of the post office since a fire forced the closure of their Tyrone location. The sporadic updates that we have received were provided through the offices of Congressman Drew Ferguson and his successor Brian Jack. Mr. Jack's office received an update from the USPS and shared it with Mayor Dial yesterday afternoon. It states that the "build-back is estimated to be completed by the end of March 2025", but did not include any mention of an opening date.
The Town thanks Congressman Jack for his assistance in this matter. We will provide additional updates as they become available.
